The nighttime curfew's duration was reduced 2 hours in Egypt.
The Egyptian government shortened the curfew duration 2 hours, and decided to implement the curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. except Fridays.
To ease the works of citizens, it was decided to cut the curfew by two hours to respond to the demands of the people, Egyptian government said in a written statement.
The full curfew would remain in place for Fridays.
Egypt's cabinet had declared an eleven-hour curfew in 14 provinces for a one-month period starting on Wednesday as political violence raged across Egypt.
