President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday criticized remarks by the main opposition party leader blaming celebrities for being on the wrong side.
Speaking at a congress in the Aegean province of Aydin, Erdogan said Kemal Kilicdaroglu does not support Turkish soldiers.
"According to Kilicdaroglu's mentality, our celebrities should take sides with terrorists, not our soldiers," he said, referring to the Republican People's Party (CHP) leader.
Earlier this week, the opposition leader criticized celebrities who accompanied Erdogan on his visit to a military outpost in southern Hatay province, on the border with Syria.
Erdogan added that Kilicdaroglu's life in politics will end in November 2019, referring to the presidential election.
