Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that opening fire on people in Egypt was worrisome.
"Iran is closely following the recent incidents in Egypt. We express our worry on the internal conflicts, which please Egypt's enemies and weaken the country's national unity and collectivity, and stress the need to stick to democratic procedures and do what the requirements of democracy are," the statement said.
Additionally, Iran's condemnations on last-week's attacks of some radical groups, which created concern in Egypt, the country's leaders' arrestments and the need to show respect to humanitarian principles were underlined in the statement.
Hamas described event as "massacre"
Hamas has als issued a message condemning the Egyptian army's opening fire on pro-Morsi demonstrators near the Republican Guard headquarters on Monday, killing at least 53 and wounding over 300.
The group based in Gaza said they were deeply saddened by the killings, which it described as a "massacre", and urged for an end to the bloodshed.
