TUNIS
Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali announced his resignation following failed efforts to create a non-partisan technocratic government.
Jebali told reporters that his resignation and failure would not mean a failure of Tunisian revolution.
Jebali stressed that he had promised to resign if his efforts to create a technocrat government had failed.
I will not be a candidate for the next parliamentary elections, he added.

Moreover, Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki will receive Ennahda Movement's leader Rached Ghannouchi on Wednesday.
Sources told AA that Marzouki called Ghannouchi on the phone, and invited him over Presidential Palace.
The meeting will focus on who would set up the new government instead of Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali after he announced his resignation on Tuesday following failed efforts to create a non-partisan technocratic government.
According to Tunisian provisional constitution, president assigns the political party --which has the highest number of seats at parliament-- to set up the government.
