Participatory Democracy Party (KADEP) leader and Diyarbakir deputy Serafettin Elci was laid to rest in the southeastern Sirnak province on Thursday.
Elci passed away at age of 74 on Tuesday due to a lung disease.
Elci was buried in Cizre Cemetery after his funeral ceremony at Ulu Mosque in Cizre town of Sirnak.
Elci had been elected an independent deputy from the southeastern province of Diyarbakir in the 2011 general elections and entered the parliament.
The number of vacant seats at the Turkish Parliament increased to two after the demise of Elci.
