U.S. President Barack Obama on Sunday wrapped up a two-day visit to Kenya, where he met with government officials, civil society figures and opposition leaders.
While in Kenya, Obama officially opened the sixth Global Entrepreneurship Summit and spoke to his Kenyan counterpart, Uhuru Kenyatta, about U.S.-Kenya relations, the fight against terrorism, the scourge of corruption and the contentious issue of gay rights.
“I am proud to be the first American president to come to Kenya,” Obama said during his visit. “And of course I'm the first Kenyan-American to be president of the United States.”
