Chairman of the Union of Palestinian Scholars Dr. Abdulgani Et-Temimi said that Palestine was the winner despite the loss of lives and damage incurred due to Israeli attacks.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), Temimi stated that many Palestinians were martyred and many others wounded after Israeli attacks.
"Our mosques and homes were damaged by Israel. Israeli attacks caused losses worth millions of dollars. However, all such losses are not an indication that Israel won. The Palestinian people were the winners in the war," Temimi underlined.
Touching on Palestine's receiving the status of "non-member observer state" at the United Nations, Temimi said that such a status was an important step but that they never relied on foreign sources in their struggle.
