Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of congratulations to his Turkish counterpart Recep
In the telegram, published on the Kremlin official website on Monday, Putin said the foundations of the "friendly, good-neighborly relations" between Russia and Turkey were established in the very first day of the existence of the Turkish Republic.
Putin said he expects further progress in the bilateral relations.
