ANKARA
Turkey has strongly condemned a recent deadly attack on two churches in Pakistan's northeastern city of Lahore.
"We strongly condemn this atrocious attack that targets the stability and peace of Pakistan, and we wish God’s mercy on those who lost their lives, convey our sympathies to their families and wish for speedy recovery of the wounded," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement Monday.
At least 15 people were killed and 70 others injured Sunday in a suicide bombing on two churches in Lahore. A Pakistani Taliban group had claimed responsibility for the attacks.
