Turkey's opposition Good (IYI) Party's deputy chair Tuba Vural Cokal resigned from the party on Thursday.
"The way we started out to further activate Turkish nationalism ... fell short of expectations," Cokal, a lawmaker from southern Antalya province said on Twitter.
She also noted that the way under the leadership of party chair Meral Aksener did not meet the expectations.
Cokal claimed that the party moved away from its foundation principles.
Following Cokal's resignation, IYI Party now holds 38 lawmakers in the parliament, while the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party holds 290 seats, Republican People’s Party (CHP) 142, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) 65, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) 49, Felicity (Saadet) Party 2, Turkish Workers' Party 2, Democrat Party (DP) 1, Grand Unity Party (BBP) 1, and independents 5 seats.
