Turkey: Opposition MP Kazim Arslan passes away

ANKARA 

Kazim Arslan, a deputy of the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) from the western province of Denizli, passed away early on Friday, according to CHP officials.

Arslan was spending his festive holiday with his family at his home in Turkey’s southern Antalya province when he died at around 00.30 a.m (2130GMT).

Kazim was Denizli mayoral candidate of the Republican People’s Party in 2014 local elections.

He was elected as CHP’s Denizli Deputy for the 25th, 26th, and 27th parliaments of Turkey.

Arslan was married with two children.
