Turkey's exports decreased slightly in October this year compared with the same period last year, the Turkish Exporters' Assembly said Sunday.
"In the first 10 months of the year, the euro lost 17.2 percent against the dollar. This decline cost our exporters $10.6 billion in the first 10 months," the Turkish body said in a statement.
Exports totaled $12.4 billion last month, a decrease of 1.5 percent and were at $119.6 billion from January to October from $130.9 billion in the same period last year, a decline of 8.6 percent, the assembly said.
Turkey’s total exports in the last 12 months stood at $146 billion, down from $158.3 billion within the same period last year, it said.
Most exports were made to Germany, Britain, Iraq, Italy and France in October, it said.
