WASHINGTON (AA) – US President Barack Obama is holding a emergency meeting with his team about military takeover in Egypt.
Obama is holding a meeting with high level officials including Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, CIA Director John Brennan and Secretary of Justice Eric Holder at the White House to evaluate the military takeover in Egypt.
Sources said, Obama had been receiving briefing from his national security team all day long on the developments in Egypt.
American public discusses whether US would regard the events in Egypt as "coup" or not, which would also determine the possible suspension of military aid to Egypt.
White House is expected to hold a press conference following the meeting according to the US media.
