More than 800 civilians were killed in Ukrainian forces’ attacks on Russia last year, with ammunition supplied by Western allies such as the US and Germany, said a senior Foreign Ministry official in Moscow on Tuesday.

Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik claimed at a press conference that more than 87,000 munitions were used in Ukrainian forces’ attacks against Russian civilians in 2024.

"In 2024, at least 5,399 people have become victims of Ukrainian crimes, including no fewer than 809 who were killed," the envoy said.

He went on to claim that Ukraine used 1,879 rounds of ammunition to launch strikes on Russian territory in the last week alone, killing 13 civilians and injuring 95 others.

According to the envoy, munitions for these attacks came from approximately 18 Western countries, including the US, Germany, South Korea, and the Czech Republic.
