ISTANBUL
Qatar announced on Thursday the "success of its mediation" in completing the reunification of two new groups of children with their families in Russia and Ukraine in the month of March.
The Foreign Ministry in a statement did not specify the number of children reunited through the two new groups, but emphasized that the operation comes "as part of its ongoing efforts to reunite families separated by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.”
It added that “Qatar's continued mediation efforts to reunite children with their families in Ukraine and Russia extend its longstanding approach to mediation and conflict resolution through peaceful means, in accordance with international law principles.”
