Russia claimed on Sunday that it downed more than 30 Ukrainian drones in an overnight attack over four regions.

A statement by the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that its air defense systems intercepted 34 Ukrainian drones during the past night, of which 27 were shot down over the border region of Kursk, where Kyiv launched an incursion back in early August.

The statement further claimed that the remaining drones were downed over the regions of Lipetsk and Oryol, as well as the border region of Belgorod.

Local authorities in the Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, and Belgorod regions did not report any casualties or damages.

Ukrainian officials have not yet commented on the claims.
