GENEVA 

Switzerland on Friday condemned an attack targeting a Swiss non-governmental organization in Ukraine, calling any attack against civilians "unacceptable." 

Bern "strongly condemns the attack that killed and injured employees of the Swiss NGO HEKS/EPER in Ukraine," the Foreign Ministry said on X.


Extending its deepest condolences and support to the families of the victims, the ministry said: "Any attack on civilians is unacceptable and in total contradiction to (International Humanitarian Laws) IHL."


Earlier, HEKS/EPER said that an attack targeted its employees during a field assessment on Thursday, killing two colleagues and injuring several others.
