Reports that US President Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, is blocked across Ukraine are “false,” a Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Thursday.

Social media users earlier claimed they were unable to access Truth Social, encountering a message that read, “Truth Social is currently unavailable in your region.”

However, Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi dismissed the claims on X.

“We have seen reports suggesting that access to the Truth Social network has been blocked in Ukraine. These reports are false,” he wrote. “Ukraine did not and could not block access because, unfortunately, the social network Truth Social has never made itself available to users in Ukraine.”

Tykhyi said Truth Social’s operations are currently limited to select countries, including the US, Canada, Brazil, Australia and a few others -- with Ukraine on that list.

“We would appreciate it if Truth Social would add Ukraine to their authorized region of operations,” he added.

Truth Social has yet to comment or address its limited regional availability.

It came one day after Trump labeled Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “modestly successful comedian” and a “Dictator” on the platform.

The controversy follows heightened tensions between Washington and Kyiv after Trump’s remarks about Zelenskyy, which sparked backlash from Ukrainian officials.
