ISTANBUL

Ukraine on Sunday claimed that four people were killed and 17 injured due to Russian attacks in the eastern Donetsk region, according to the head of the regional military administration.

“On 26 April, the number of the victims of the (attacks by) Russians in Donetsk oblast increased by 4 killed, 17 injured,” Vadym Filashkin said on Telegram.

He added that the reported figures do not include casualties from Mariupol and Volnovakha, areas heavily affected earlier in the conflict.

Russia did not immediately respond to the claims, and independent verification remains difficult due to the ongoing conflict.
