Ukraine said on Monday that at least 30 people were injured due to airstrikes by Moscow in multiple regions of the country, including the northeastern Kharkiv region bordering Russia.

Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synyehubov said on Telegram that 23 people were injured in a morning rocket attack, claiming that Russia fired the missiles at the central part of the country's second-largest city using an S-400 missile system based on preliminary information.

Expressing that 14 of those injured are currently hospitalized, Synyehubov said more than 40 houses were damaged as a result of the attack.

In the southwestern city of Odesa, Governor Oleh Kiper said a missile attack targeted civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings and two educational institutions.

Kiper later reported that six people, including a woman in serious condition, were injured due to the attack.

Elsewhere, Governor Ivan Fedorov said on Telegram that a child was injured in the Zavodskyi district of the city of Zaporizhzhia due to an overnight drone attack, which he said damaged a residential quarter.

Fedorov further said several hits were also recorded in an unspecified number of industrial facilities in Zaporizhzhia, and that investigations into the attack are underway.

“Since last evening alone, Russia has launched nearly 150 strike drones, aerial bombs, and missiles, targeting over ten of our regions,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X.

Indicating that efforts are still ongoing to intercept other aerial targets in Ukraine’s airspace, Zelenskyy said such attacks can be stopped through further actions from Kyiv’s partners.

“These Russian strikes on Ukrainian lives can be stopped -- with pressure, with sanctions, by blocking the occupiers’ access to the components they use to manufacture the means of this terror, by providing arms packages for Ukraine, and with a determination that must be unwavering,” he added.

Ukraine's Air Force later claimed that it downed 71 out of 145 drones launched Sunday night over the country's Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.

Russian authorities have not yet commented on the claims or the attacks.
