Basketball: Greek guard Sloukas returns to Olympiacos

ANKARA

Greek combo guard Kostas Sloukas left Fenerbahce Beko on Friday to return to Olympiacos.

"Sloukas returns home... Olympiacos BC announces the agreement with Kostas Sloukas. The 30-year-old playmaker will be a 'red' for the next three years," Olympiacos said on its website.

Sloukas was a key player for Olympiacos, winning the 2012 and 2013 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with the Greek basketball powerhouse.

Fenerbahce Beko signed him in 2015 and Sloukas helped the Turkish giants win the 2017 EuroLeague title.

He is able to play at the point or shooting guard.

Regarded as one of the best shooters in Europe, Sloukas averaged 11.6 points and 6.1 assists in 25 EuroLeague appearances last season.

He also plays for the Greek national team.
