Bayer Leverkusen completed a late comeback against Hoffenheim in a Saturday German Bundesliga match as they bagged a 2-1 home win to stretch their unbeaten record to 39 games across all competitions this season.

Hoffenheim drew the first blood at Leverkusen's BayArena as Maximilian Beier gave a 1-0 lead to the visitors in the 33rd minute.

Leverkusen piled on the pressure to level the match in the 88th minute as Robert Andrich scored a half-volley in late minutes to cancel out Beier's opener in the first half.

Czech forward Patrik Schick scored a stoppage-time winner for Leverkusen, finishing in the close range.

German Bundesliga leaders Leverkusen went 13 points clear of Bayern Munich, who have 60 points in 26 matches.

Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen eye their maiden Bundesliga title as they have seven games to play for the rest of the season.

Bayern Munich are set to play Borussia Dortmund later on Saturday's Der Klassiker in Munich.
