Istanbul football club Besiktas are hoping for a miracle against Germany's Bayern Munich in a UEFA Champions League Round 16 second-leg match on Wednesday as Bayern previously won the first match 5-0 in Munich last month.

Hosts Besiktas may lack their Croatian defender Domagoj Vida as he was sent off in the first match.

In addition to Vida, other Besiktas defenders Pepe and Dusko Tosic are having injury problems.

No Bayern Munich players are suspended for the match, but French winger Kingsley Coman and the team's starting goalkeeper Manuel Neuer are injured. Both are expected to miss the game.

Separately, Bayern Munich midfielders Corentin Tolisso and James Rodriguez are doubtful.

The match at Vodafone Park will kick off at 8 p.m. local time in Turkey (1700GMT) and will be officiated by English referee Michael Oliver.

Sevilla knock Man U out of tournament

Spain's Sevilla managed to beat English giants Manchester United 2-1 in an away match in the Champions League final 16 late Tuesday, making Sevilla qualify for the quarterfinals.

Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder scored twice at Old Trafford. Manchester U's Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku's late volley wasn't enough for the hosts.

After the match, Sevilla coach Vincenzo Montella said: "This win is for everyone who has Sevilla in their soul. A precious, beautiful night."

Player of the match Ben Yedder said the game was a difficult one but they managed to score the goals they needed.

"The coach told us to believe that anything was possible. I think we deserved it -- we played very well today," said Yedder.

Roma eliminate 10-man Shakhtar

Italian side Roma advanced through the Champions League quarter-final phase by beating Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0 at Stadio Olimpico late Tuesday.

Home team Roma's Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko was the scorer for his team in the second leg.

Previously Roma lost the first leg 2-1 in Ukraine, but the Italians went to the final 8 thanks to their away goal in that match.

Shakhtar Donetsk's Ukrainian defender Ivan Ordets was sent off in the 79th minute of play.
