German leaders Leverkusen go 13 points clear of Bayern Munich with 7 matches remaining

Borussia Dortmund stunned Bayern Munich 2 - 0 on Saturday to take their first Der Klassiker win in Munich in 10 years.
Second in the German Bundesliga table, Bayern Munich, the home team of the Der Klassiker showdown, allowed Bayer Leverkusen to lead by 13 points with seven games to go.
Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen, who have 73 points after beating Hoffenheim 2 - 1 earlier Saturday, need three wins to secure their maiden German league title, and they do not have a match against Bayern Munich in the remainder of the 2023 - 24 Bundesliga campaign.
In Saturday's Der Klassiker, visitors Dortmund took the lead in the 10th minute as Karim Adeyemi scored on a counter attack to shock the crowd at the Allianz Arena.
In the 83rd minute, Dortmund's Julian Ryerson fired in the box to make it 2 - 0. Ryerson sent the ball to the far corner of the net.
Six minutes later Bayern Munich's English star Harry Kane scored a header but after a VAR check it was disallowed for offside.
Dortmund boosted their points to 53 to be fourth in the league table.
It was a historic day for the visitors. Because Dortmund secured their first Der Klassiker victory since 2018, and it was also their first win at Bayern Munich's home ground since 2014.
