Solly March-led Brighton and Hove Albion beat Liverpool 3-0 in a Saturday English Premier League match to climb above them in the standings.

Home team Brighton's English midfielder March scored double against Liverpool in the 46th and 53rd minutes to play a key role at Amex Stadium, Falmer.

In the 81st minute, Brighton forward Danny Welbeck had a right-footed effort in the box that beat Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson. March assisted him.

After the win, seventh-place Brighton increased their points to 30 in 18 matches to move above Liverpool in the league table.

Liverpool, who are eighth in the league with 28 points, lost their second match in a row in the league, leaving them 16 points behind leaders Arsenal.
