Club Brugge advance to Champions League round of 16

Club Brugge have advanced to the UEFA Champions League knockout stage after a goalless away draw with Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
The Belgian club’s Kamal Sowah was shown a red card in the 82nd minute at Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.
Brugge have reached the round of 16 for the first time and become the second Belgian club to do so after Gent in 2015-16 season.
Club Brugge goalie Mignolet, who was the main architect of the vital draw, has been named Player of the Match.
Atletico Madrid’s next two games will decide their fate in the league.
Bayer Leverkusen will take on Porto in another Group B match on Wednesday.
The UEFA Champions League last 16 draw will be held on Nov. 7.
