Alice D'Amato wins gold medal in women's balance beam with 14.366 points at 2024 Paris Olympics

Alice D'Amato won the gold medal in women's balance beam on Monday to become Italy's first ever Olympic champion in women's gymnastics.
D'Amato got 14.366 points to bag the gold, while Zhou Yaqin of People's Republic of China scored 14.100 to seal silver and D'Amato's compatriot Manila Esposito clinched bronze with 14.000 points.
US' Simone Biles, who has already bagged three gold medals at Paris 2024 so far, finished fifth with 13.100 after failing to land one of her jumps and falling off the beam.
Another event in women's gymnastics at 2024 Paris, women's floor exercise, will be held later Monday.
