Denver Nuggets' Jokic, Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis leading in 1st fan returns of NBA All-Star voting
Nikola Jokic in West frontcourt gets 1.42 million votes, Giannis Antetokounmpo in East frontcourt receives 1.71 million votes

Denver Nuggets Serbian center Nikola Jokic and Milwaukee Bucks Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo were respectively leading the Western and Eastern Conferences in the first fan returns of 2025 NBA All-Star voting on Thursday.
Nuggets regular Jokic (West frontcourt) had 1.42 million votes, while Bucks superstar Antetokounmpo (East frontcourt) received 1.71 million votes before the 74th NBA All-Star Game in February, the NBA said on X.
Additionally, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (West guard) and the Charlotte Hornets’ LaMelo Ball (East guard) are the top vote getters among the guards in the polls.
Canada's Gilgeous-Alexander had 1.05 million votes, while Ball from the US got at least 947,000 votes.
In the meantime, Houston Rockets Turkish center Alperen Sengun ranked sixth in the West frontcourt standings, securing at least 314,000 fan votes.
"Fans account for 50% of the vote to decide All-Star starters. NBA players and a media panel account for 25% each," the NBA said.
The NBA will unveil the next fan voting updates on Jan. 9 and 16, and the final day of voting is Jan. 20.
The 74th NBA All-Star Game starters will be revealed on Jan. 23, and the reserves will be named on Jan. 30.
On Feb. 16, San Francisco's Chase Center, the home of the Golden State Warriors, will host the 2025 All-Star Game.
