Father of MMA champion Nurmagomedov dies from COVID-19
Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, 57, had been battling coronavirus since May

ANKARA
The father and coach of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) champion Khabib Nurmagomedov died Friday from the coronavirus.
Manager Ali Abdelaziz confirmed Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, 57, died at a hospital in Moscow, where he had been hospitalized since May.
Irish star Conor McGregor, archrival of the younger Nurmagomedov, offered his condolences.
"The loss of a father, a coach, and a dedicated supporter of the sport. Condolences and rest in peace Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov," McGregor said on Twitter.
Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor in Las Vegas in a 2018 UFC lightweight title fight.
