FIBA World Cup: Argentina eliminate Serbia to be in semis

Argentina beat Serbia 97-87 to be in the 2019 FIBA World Cup semifinals on Tuesday.

Argentina bagged the final four ticket in the World Cup, eliminating Serbia, one of the favorites in this tournament.

Power forward Luis Scola, 39, was one of the key players for the Argentinian victory over Serbia in Dongguan Basketball Center, China.

Scola, the oldest player in the Argentina squad, scored 20 points.

Argentinian playmaker Facundo Campazzo was on fire as the Real Madrid point guard scored 18 points and produced 12 assists. Campazzo also had six rebounds and made three steals.

Another Real Madrid player of Argentina, small forward Gabriel Deck tallied 13 points and eight rebounds in Dongguan.

Argentinian small forward Patricio Garino scored 15 points against Serbia. Garino's teammate Luca Vildoza produced 11 points as well.

Serbian star Bogdan Bogdanovic was on duty against Argentina but he couldn't avoid the loss. The Sacramento Kings' shooting guard scored 21 points.

His teammate Nemanja Bjelica tallied 18 points and seven rebounds.

Another Serbia star Nikola Jokic scored 16 points, took 10 rebounds and made five assists.

Vladimir Lucic -- the Bayern Munich forward -- produced 12 points against Argentina.

Argentina will face the winners of U.S. vs. France in semifinals on Friday.

Eliminated from the World Cup, Serbia will play a classification match.
