ANKARA
Gianni Infantino confirmed his candidacy Thursday in the next FIFA presidential election in 2023.
"I want to tell you that I will run for re-election next year," the Swiss-Italian said at the 72nd FIFA Congress in Qatar’s capital, Doha.
Infantino, 52, who will run for his third term, has been chairman of football’s governing body since February 2016.
