The battle for the Turkey’s top domestic football challenge, Ziraat Turkish Cup, will enter a critical phase in March with pundits predicting the Istanbul-based teams Fenerbahce or Galatasaray to lift the trophy.
Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, Medicana Sivasspor and Bursaspor have reached the quarter final stage, however, the teams in this stage were unable to draw against each other.
Quarter final draws in the cup are:
Galatasaray vs Manisaspor
Kayserispor vs Medicana Sivasspor
Bursaspor vs Genclerbirligi
Mersin Idmanyurdu vs Fenerbahce
In the meantime, semi final draws were unveiled.
The winner of the Galatasaray-Manisaspor match will meet the winner of Kayserispor-Medicana Sivasspor draw in the semi final; the winner of Bursaspor-Genclerbirligi draw will encounter the winner of Mersin Idmanyurdu-Fenerbahce draw in the semis.
The matches will be played in the home and away knockout formats and quarter finals will be played on March 3, 4, 5 and April 7, 8 and 9.
Meanwhile, the semis will kick off April 28, 29, 30 and May 19, 20 and 21.
