French swimmer Leon Marchand win 4th gold at 2024 Olympics

ANKARA

French swimmer Leon Marchand won his fourth gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Friday.

Marchand won the men's 200 meter individual medley in the Olympic record time of 1 minute and 54.06 seconds.

The former record was set by Michael Phelps of the US at the 2008 Beijing Games in 1:54.23.

Scott Duncan from Britain finished second in 1:55.31. Chinese swimmer Shun Wang won bronze in a time of 1:56.00.

Marchand, 22, also won gold in the 200m butterfly, 200m breaststroke and the 400m individual medley.
