The crisis-hit Manchester City took another loss in a Saturday English Premier League match to Aston Villa.

Hosts Aston Villa beat Pep Guardiola's Man City 2-1 in Birmingham with the goals scored by Colombian forward Jhon Duran and English forward Morgan Rogers.

Near the end of the game at the Villa Park, Man City's English midfielder Phil Foden scored after a mistake by Aston Villa defense, a consolation goal for the visitors.

Star-studded Manchester City moved down to the sixth spot as they have 27 points in 17 matches. Liverpool are leading the league with 36 points and have two games in hand. The English leaders will visit Tottenham Hotspur in London on Sunday.

This season Manchester City had six losses in the Premier League, while nine defeats in 12 games across all competitions.

Aston Villa leapfrogged Man City into the fifth place. The Villans have 28 points.
