ANKARA
English premier League club Manchester City’s defender Aymeric Laporte will be out for at least three weeks due to his hamstring injury, manager Pep Guardiola said on Friday.
"Aymeric Laporte to be side-lined for between 'three weeks and a month' in the wake of the injury he sustained in Wednesday’s Champions League win at Real Madrid," Guardiola told on English club's official website.
Guardiola also added that he was hoping Laporte could be fit to return towards the end of March.
The French defender made only eight appearances for his club during 2019-20 season.
The 25-year-old player had to quit on Wednesday’s Champions League win at Real Madrid after suffering from hamstring injury.
