Legendary footballer involved in a scuffle with locals after leaving a nightclub, reports Croatian media
DUBROVNIK, Croatia
Argentine football legend Diego Maradona, 53, was allegedly involved in a fight after leaving a nightclub in the Croatian town of Dubrovnik on Sunday night, Croatian media reported.
Local media claimed that the legendary footballer had fun with his friends in the VIP lounge of a popular Dubrovnik nightclub where other guest took offense from his behaviors fueled by alcohol consumption.
As he and his friends were leaving the club, he was involved in a severe argument with a local who wanted to take a picture of him.
The scuffle reportedly led to a physical fight between Maradona and angry locals before police intervened and prevented a larger incident.
Maradona, a World Cup winner with Argentina in 1986, is regarded as one of the best football players of all time.
