The Denver Nuggets have beaten the San Antonio Spurs 90-86 at home on Saturday night to advance to Western Conference semi-finals in NBA Playoffs.

The series decider Game 7 was played in Pepsi Center, the only game seven in the first round series.

The Nuggets established a 17-point lead in the mid-third quarter with 62-45, but the Spurs did not quit as they managed to come close as much as two points with a minute to go in the game.

The series winning shot came from Jamal Murray, who made a driving floating jump shot with 35 seconds to go, increasing the lead to four points.

Denver's Nikola Jokic made a triple-double with 21 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists, while Murray scored 23 points.

Rudy Gay scored 21 points off the bench, DeMar DeRozan and Bryn Forbes each scored 19 points for the Spurs, but could not save their season. 

Leonard scores 45, Raptors lead 76ers 1-0 in East semis

The Toronto Raptors defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 108-95 on Saturday evening to lead the Eastern Conference semi-finals series 1-0.

Kawhi Leonard, in a playoff career night, scored 45 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead his team to victory.

Pascal Siakam also came up big, scored 29 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

For the 76ers, six players scored in double figures but it was not enough to end the losing streak to 76ers in their home, dropping their 14th match in a row.

Historically, the Raptors lose first game of the playoff series, but that was not the case this time as they are now up 1-0 in the series.
