Oscar Piastri wins Chinese Grand Prix, Round 2 of F1 season

ISTANBUL

McLaren's Australian driver Oscar Piastri won the Chinese Grand Prix, the second round of the Formula 1 2025 championship.

The race took place on the 5.4-kilometer (3.3-mile) Shanghai International Circuit and consisted of 56 laps.

Piastri won the race, starting from pole position and leading from start to finish, in one hour, 30 minutes, and 55.026 seconds, achieving the third stage victory of his career.

British driver Lando Norris, who won the season's first stage in Australia, finished second, 9.748 seconds behind his teammate.

Mercedes' British driver George Russell finished third, 11.097 seconds behind the leader.

The third race of the season, the Japanese Grand Prix, will be held on April 6.
