Argentine football powerhouse River Plate won the 2021 Argentine top-tier league title late Thursday with a 4-0 win against Racing Club.
River Plate last won the title in 2014.
Home team River Plate midfielder Agustin Palavecino finished in the area after a through ball to score the opener in the 32nd minute in Buenos Aires' Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti.
The Millionaires' star Julian Alvarez doubled the lead in the 48th minute, sending the ball to bottom corner with a low shot.
River Plate forward Braian Romero beat Racing goalkeeper Gabriel Arias in a one-on-one to score the third goal in the 68th minute and netted another one 10 minutes later.
Marcelo Gallardo's men have clinched the 2021 Argentine Professional League with three games to spare.
This was River Plate's 36th league championship in history.
