The 26-year-old Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova takes place in the list of '10 famous women entrepreneurs' drawn up by CNN, with her own candy brand Sugarpova created last year.

Sharapova, presently number 4 at The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, became an instant success in the business world with her candy company founded in August last year, beside her sport career.

Sharapova, who has 29 WTA singles titles, had a good job on balance between her sport career and other professional activities, according to her own statement in WTA website.

"I don't have any educational backround on business and advertisement. I have learnt from my experiences," she said.

She spent US$500,000 to set up Sugarpova.

The gummy candy was first marketed in the U.S., reaching 250,000 bags in the first three months.

Sharapova was surprised by the success.
