Trabzonspor appoint Thomas Reis on 2-year contract

Trabzonspor appointed German coach Thomas Reis on a two-year contract, the Turkish Super Lig club announced on Thursday.

In a disclosure submitted to Türkiye’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), Trabzonspor said it had reached an agreement with Bulgarian club Ludogorets over Reis’ departure.

The Black Sea club will pay Ludogorets €900,000 ($1.06 million) in compensation for terminating the 52-year-old coach’s contract.

Trabzonspor said Reis will receive a guaranteed salary of €1 million for the 2026-27 season and €1.2 million for the 2027-28 campaign.

Reis previously coached Türkiye’s Samsunspor before joining Ludogorets.
