Turkish left back Umut Meras joins Besiktas
Istanbul club to pay €1.5 million for France's Le Havre, 25-year-old pens 3-plus-1-year contract

Football side Besiktas on Monday signed Turkish left back Umut Meras on from France's Le Havre.
The Turkish club welcomed the 25-year-old with a video post on Twitter showing Meras entering the Black Eagles' home stadium, Vodafone Park, picking up his Besiktas jersey from the pitch.
In a statement on Borsa Istanbul, the Istanbul club said that it would pay a transfer fee of €1.5 million ($1.7 million) to Le Havre.
The Istanbul club added that Meras sealed a three-plus-one-year contract.
Meras played for Le Havre since 2019, piling up 57 appearances for the French side.
Before his move to France, Meras had played for Turkey's Bursaspor.
He plays separately for his native Turkey.
