Turkish manager set to lead Iranian football team
Mustafa Denizli's third spell in Iran to be with Tractor Sazi football club
ANKARA
Turkish football manager Mustafa Denizli signed an agreement with Iranian football club Tractor Sazi which competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League, according to the Iranian state media.
Details regarding the deal are yet to be released to the public.
Mustafa Denizli announced his resignation from the Turkish Spor Toto Super League team Kasimpasa in May. The 69-year-old manager previously worked for two Iranian teams Proozi FC and Pas Teheran.
Denizli replaced Belgian manager Georges Leekens in Tractor Sazi. The Persian team did not qualify for the 2020 AFC Champions League under Leeken's management.
Tractor Sazi also signed a contract with Turkish manager Ertugrul Saglam in 2018, but later parted ways with the team later that year.
