Burhan Akbudak beats Uzbekistan's Jalgasbay Berdimuratov in Greco-Roman 82 kg, earning his first gold medal at World Wrestling Championships

Turkish wrestler Burhan Akbudak on Monday beat Uzbekistan’s Jalgasbay Berdimuratov 3-1(7-6) in men's Greco-Roman 82 kg at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, scoring his first-ever gold in the tournament.
Tamas Levai of Hungary and Yaroslav Filchakov of Ukraine both earned bronze medals.
The gold follows Akbudak claiming his first silver medal in the World Wrestling Championships, also in Greco-Roman 82 kg, in Oslo, Norway.
This spring the 27-year-old also earned a bronze medal in Greco-Roman 82 kg at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
