Volleyball: 2 Turkish teams in semis for world title
Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul beat Thailand's Supreme Chonburi 3-0 in women’s world championship to reach semifinals

ISTANBUL
Turkey's Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul has secured its spot in the women’s semifinals in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship in China.
In Shaoxing, China on Wednesday, Eczacibasi VitrA beat Thailand's Supreme Chonburi 3-0 in Group B.
Reigning champion Turkey's Vakifbank also reached the semis.
Also on Wednesday, Vakifbank beat France's Volero Le Cannet 3-0 in Group A. Vakifbank is the defending world champion after winning the 2017 tourney in Japan.
Turkish giants Vakifbank Istanbul and Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul are among the favorites to win the crown.
