The 2024 Wimbledon women's singles final is set as Czech Republic's Barbora Krejcikova will play Italian seventh-seed Jasmine Paolini on Saturday.
In a Thursday semifinal at the Centre Court, Krejcikova stunned 2022 champion Elena Rybakina in three sets: 3-6, 6-3, and 6-4 to reach the London final.
"I never dreamed I would be playing in the singles final here,” the Czech athlete said.
"I’m just super proud about my fighting spirit today. I started to be in the zone and I didn’t want to leave it," Krejcikova, the world No. 31, added.
Earlier Thursday, Paolini booked her place at the Wimbledon women's final after eliminating Croatia's Donna Vekic with the sets of 2-6, 6-4, and 7-6 (10-8).
Saturday's Krejcikova vs. Paolini final will begin at 1300GMT.
