The women's tennis world no.1, Iga Swiatek, has bagged the bronze medal at 2024 Paris Olympics on Friday. 

The Polish star beat Slovakian Anna Karolina Schmiedlova with 6-2, 6-1 straight sets at Court Philippe-Chatrier in just 59 minutes.

Chinese world no.7 Zheng Qinwen, who had eliminated Swiatek in the semis, will face 13th-seed Donna Vekic of Croatia in the women’s singles tennis final on Saturday.

Swiatek, 23, won four French Open (Roland Garros) singles titles along with the 2022 US Open title.
