2nd Rome Turkish film festival to begin on October 18

Guest of honor of the festival will be renown Turkish film director of "Distant", "Three Monkeys", "Once upon a time in Anatolia", Nuri Bilge Ceylan.

2nd Rome Turkish film festival to begin on October 18

ROME (AA) - August 2, 2012 - The Second Rome Turkish Films Festival will take place in the capital city of Italy between October 18-21.

Guest of honor of the festival will be renown Turkish film director of "Distant", "Three Monkeys", "Once upon a time in Anatolia", Nuri Bilge Ceylan. 
After receiving great interest from the previous year's festival, the 2nd Rome Turkish Film Festival is organised with the support of Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Turkish Ministry of EU Affairs and Turkish Embassy in Rome. 
President of the festival, Serap Engin, and the Honorary President of the festival, Ferzan Ozpetek, spoke to AA about their future projects of the festival. 
Both names who bring together the Italian community with Turkish films said that they would like the festival to become a persistent activity and said that the festival is a fantastic event between Turkey and Italy.
Engin said, "When we see people smiling while looking at our posters it makes us happy. That is why we think that we are on the right way."
