ANKARA
Chairman of the Turkish Prime Ministry Overseas Turks and Relative Communities (YTB), Kemal Yurtnac, has said that 3750 students will come to Turkey from 158 different countries for the 2012-2013 education year and expressed that their budget expenditure will be over 100 million Turkish Liras (TL).
Yurtnac explained their aims for the term of 2012-2013 to AA and said that the budget expenditure which will be covering the overseas students' university expenses and education expenditures will be over 100 million TL. Last year's 250 TL undergraduate tuition fee will be raised to 500 TL in the new term and the 700 TL postgraduate tuition fee will be increased to 1000 TL for the term of 2012-2013.
Moreover, Yurtnac added that students' assessments will be depending on their high school diploma notes. He stated that from 158 countries, 3750 foreign students will be coming to Turkey to continue their studies.
He also highlighted that overseas students mainly demand studying medical and engineering studies.
Yurtnac stated that they will be covering students' health insurances, return flights and many other of their needs. "As Turkey is growing and developing, then these students should benefit from Turkey's sources," Yurtnac said.
