Al-Hayat, one of the leading daily newspapers in the Arab world, has covered Anadolu Agency's (AA) broadcast in Arabic.
The paper said, "Better late than never. The AA began its Arabic broadcast after 93 years."
London-based newspaper Al-Hayat covered AA under the title of "Turks discover Arabs in media" in its February 4 edition.
Regarding AA, the article said, "Better late than never. To begin broadcasting in Arabic is a positive step forward."
The paper quoted Turan Kislakci, the Coordinator of Arabic Edition Service of the AA, as saying, "In order to retrieve those years that we were away, we want to get closer to Arabic countries, receive in-depth information and follow their news closely."
It was added in the article that with its "Reliable and Impartial" principles, AA's Arabic broadcast would cover the needs of regional countries.
Lebanese Minister of Information Walid Daouq's words during the inauguration of AA's Lebanon office were stated in the article.
Minister Daouq said, "With AA's Arabic broadcast, the trust towards freedom and media opening in our country came back."
The article stressed that Turkey and Arab countries were getting closer in the fields of politics, economy and tourism.
It added, in these improving relations AA's Arabic news took a major part.
It was also mentioned in the article that AA had offices in Palestine, Israel, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco and Lebanon, moreover, it was planning to open offices in Dubai, Sudan, Yemen and Kuwait.
